Excellent selection of wood shrubs and trees.  I was impressed by the variety of plants available and how they are displayed around the central patio of the nursery.  While other nurseries focus on bedding and color, Gold Leaf is more focused on woody shrubs, landscape grade plant material, and trees.  They offer fruit trees, shade trees, roses, some perennials, groundcovers, and conifers.  They also offer sod, and fountains plus a few pots and garden art pieces.  Staff is friendly.
I tend to  shop several nurseries to find plants for clients and Gold Leaf is a great first stop.

Thank you Dave.

USDA Cold Hardiness Zones

Hey North state gardeners, good news for us. If you have ever been to a garden center you may have asked the question what zone am I? For all the people who feel uncertain about this your not alone. We have a very diverse climate. For those who believe they have it all figured out I would tell you be careful Redding has micro climates and the unpredictable weather cycles. So here is the good news, On 1/25/2012 the USDA in association with OSU unveiled the latest version of the Cold Hardiness Zone map for the U.S. If you find this helpful let us know.

Gold Leaf is proud to offer Delta Bluegrass sod. We have chosen to offer this blend because it has Bolero™ Sod, which stands out from other sod due to its Mediterranean origin. Place your order, by calling 365-5383. Also come join us for the sod seminar April 28 2012. For individual rolls at our nursery call for availability.
